I cant get them to breed....

My two leopard geckos, Mangle and Trevor, wont breed. Ive had them living together in the same cage for a while now but still no luck. Mangle, my female, is just over 3 years old and has been successfully bred before. Trevor, the male, is about a year now and has never bred before. I dont know when Mangle will ’ovulate’ and as far as I know, she hasnt since i got her.... is that good? I got her near the end of march I think. Im really looking forward to having baby leos, but they just wont breed! They have a 20 gallon tank, a log hide, a moist hide/ lay box, a big rock, a piece of drift wood, and the flooring is just an old brown towel. Am I housing them wrong? Oh and the temp stays anywhere from 70-85. Should I seperate them again and try again later? If so, when? Thanks in advance!!

R u sure u have male & female that would be my first ? Second maybe ur just not seeing them mate. temps need to be little higher hot side around 90F if u hold ur female look at her stomach u can see eggs if they r there. The 1yr old leo possibly is too young as well my males never seemed interested in my females until 18m-2yrs. But i currently got a female whose under a year that was gravid from a pet store n she laid eggs just make sure both r a good weight. I have my 2 in a 50 gallon. Hot hide moist hide cool hide

yes, i know that they are male and female, both from the breeders and i took them to the vet to check. i use a red bulb during the day but i dont use one at night because my room stays warm at night. and the other day, i saw Trevor following Mangle around and bite her tail, but she bit him on the nose and ran away. I also remember Trevor sitting in my lay box/moist hide, his tail was straight except for the end, it was rapidly shaking. i know that they do that when they see a female... but Mangle just left the box and went to the hot hide... what is wrong with these two??

Not receptive? Does that mean she wont breed with him ever? And what do you mean cleaning... like licking or something? Does this mean that my geckos arent going to breed....

Oh, and if not, should i put them back in seperate tanks? He hasnt been bothering her (that i know of anyways) and they seem to get along. Ive seen people that seperated them for a while but and then they bred but idk if it would work because i dont know when Mangle ovulates... this is complicated

Not that they wont mate just that she’s not interested currently give them time some mate quickly others take awhile ive had pairs before took 5-6mths others within 2 weeks of being together mated. They just like to do on their own time i give my leos a 13hr light period then off rest of the night normally 7am-8pm
