 Leo eggs not hatching????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a female Tremper Albino and she has laid 3 clutches and none of them have hatched. She is about two years old and has bred before. The hatching substrate is Hatch-Rite. Also, I have a female SHTCT who is breeding for the first time this season and she laid 1 clutch over month ago and has not laid anymore and when I look at her stomach I do not see any eggs. Does anyone have any avice or tips???

Thanks
Jeff

A female leo will not breed if she is not ovulating. A good way to spur her into ovulation is to take a peice of copy paper, put it in with the male for a couple of days, then put the paper in with the female. His scent might spur her into ovulation. I actually take the female out of her enclosure and put the male in there and once the male catches her scent, he will walk around the enclosure dragging his vent. Then take him out and put her back in. Its a really good and successful way to spur her into ovulation. You can also raise the belly temps to about 90-92 degress.

If it is a females first breeding season, it is likely that she will lay infertile eggs.

Also, a female leo - if it is her first season, sometimes they know that the eggs are infertile and will reabsorb them instead of going through the laying process.

I bought her from a breeder when she was 2 and she is now 3 and he bred her and said she laid fertile eggs. Also, she is not absorbing them, they are being laid but when they are laid they are stuck together and go flat and get brown within the first week.
