I wouldn’t. They stress considerably easily, have very delicate skin that can rip, and if yours gets away, you will have a very hard time trying to get it back. If the goldie is easy to catch and handle, it’s either sick or stressing to death. The same goes for marbled geckos, which someone brought up on that list of yours.

If you want a gecko you can handle, this is not the species for you, PetMaster. You’d, instead, want a leopard gecko or crested gecko.

GOLDENS ARE VERY DELICATE, THERE SKIN CAN TEAR EASILY AND THEY DO STRESS VERY EASY, IAGREE GET A LEOPARD OR CRESTED GECKO IF YOU NEED SOMETHING YOU WANT TO TAKE OUT. BETTER YET GET A BERDED DRAGON OR A RED HEAD AGAMA, BEARDIES ARE THE MOST TOLERABLE OF ALL , BUT I JUST LOVE AGAMAS, JUST REMEMBER ALL THINGS ASIDE HERPS ALL HAVE THERE OWN PERSONALITIES, YOU MAY END UP WITH A CUTE LIL CRESTED THAT HATES TO BE HANDLED SO GL IN YA CHOICE

i got bit once, but it was when i first got him and it was because i was hesitating grabbing him. and it has not happened since.. now that i have had him for a year (just a year in about 3 weeks) he is used to where i put him and being taken out.
