 Crested Vs Gargoyle

Aside from the lighting that is needed for a gargoyle. What is the difference between a crested and gargoyle gecko in the way you take care of them?

Gargs always have to be housed by them selves not just the males and you canít keep a breeding pair together. Nothing much besides that.

At all? Interesting. Are you able to breed them? Is there any lighting needed or anything like that?

I have gargs and I donít use any lighting. I plan to breed someday, when my babies are old enough.

So owning a garg. is the same as owning a cg? Just that you canít house two or more together?

its best to have a small basking spot that get to about 80-85f max, and should only be in one small spot of the upper part of the tank. You can do it with a normal light bulb.

If the overall temperature in the tank exceeds 85F your garg could die. Be carefull of that. We donít use basking spots but some Gargs do seem to use them. I never reccomend them thought because alot of people make them too hot with catostrophic results.
