yes cresties do eat silk worms. ive feed them to my new cresties once and it was quite interesting since they werent too sure about them. one it took about 5 min for it to eat the silky she just kept licking it and nipping at it a little and the other licked it a few time grabbed it sat there(not chewing) with the worm half stickin outta its mouth for a min then finally chewed and ate it

DID THEY HAVE TO BE SMALLER SILKIES AND WERE THEY (THE CRESTEDS) FULLY GROWN WHEN YOU OFFERED IT TO THEM?

UGH! I hope my little one will eat silkies, we donít do crickets. Been there, done that. I think itís funny that they suggest feeding fruity baby food.

 Silkworms???

please Ris9911 dont type in all caps its hard on my eyes. the silks were about an inch- an inch and a half long and yes the cresties were fully grown when i offered them the silks. fruit is a big part of their diet. alot of breeders use fruit babyfood(some yogert) as a staple food. they tend to like peach, apercot and mixed fruit, and pear. you just get the crested gecko diet and mix a lil in with the babyfood put it in a tupperwate top of some sort place it in their cage and they usually lick it up it. i alternate between dusted crickets and baby food every other day. they like the hunt for crickets but then the baby food is nice if they feel like being lazy

My crestie does not like worms either.
Only dusted crix.... he loves to chase them for awhile before he decides to devour them!! And he also eats babyfood.... we put a jarful into a zip freezer bag and freeze it flat. When he needs more, we just break off a chunk, put it in his bowl and let it thaw, then give it to him. Some days he goes right over and eats it.... other days he doesnít want anything to do with it! Sounds like some kids I know!
Bonnie... the link wonít work!

their site must be down. itís called Wild Eye Reptiles. iím sure it wonít be down for to long. if i find my copy of the reciepe iíll post it. basically itís 2 or 3 different kinds of fruit baby food, a jar of chicken baby food, some crested gecko diet, liquid bird vitamins, honey, and a dash of lemon juice as a preservative. you can raise them on this. it has all the necessary nutrition but they do like to hunt crickets.

try the site later. i really like it and Leah has been helpful to me. sheís a moderator on another site.
