Oops... did I injure my gecko?

Hi everyone,
I was feeding my gecko some crickets tonight. After I finished feeding him, I took him up to his cage and put him inside. My father was sleeping in the room so the lights were off, so I could not see the lizard. When I closed the cage door, I used my phone light to check on him. That was when I realized that I closed the door on his left hand (or foot, whatever). He was strugglng to free himself, so i instantly reopened the door and released him. I am worried that I may have harmed him, so I am checking on him frequently. He is moving around like normal, but I still can’t help worriying about him.

Okay, just an update, I checked him again this morning and he is fine, behaving as normal, and his foot is not swollen and harbours no hints of being damaged in any way, so I think he is ok. I will continue to keep an eye on him just in case.

Glad he looks to be ok! Keeping an eye on em is a good idea- though its probably just fine if it is moving about without favoring it.
