 Hay should i......???

should i get a chrested gecko...., my 10 year old corn snake just died and i want another reptile. are chrested geckos easy to take care of ( low matinence) i have a ten gallon tank just sitting around and is a 10 good for the chrested geckos. are they calm and loyal ( they wont run away). i mite not have that much time with them so are they good if you dont hold them that often. plz awnser thx :]

I think as long as you research they are an exellent pet.I have one that has stayed in a 10 gal. im movin him out around 6 1/2 inches about 2 weeks. I dont hold mine often either and he seems fine.

they are very easy to take care of. your cage would be fine for a juvi or a hatchling but an adult needs a minimum of a 20 gallon tall tank. a juvi is a bit jumpy at first but with time they get used to being held. no reptile will be tame without spending some time with it.

oh and its crested gecko. not chrested gecko.

i cant edit my post so ill post again.

do your research for a while before buying one. dont just go out and buy it and then figure out the tank and requirements. have the tank ready with the right temp and humidity a few days before you get the gecko and know what the gecko will require for care.
