Are silk worms ok for baby geckos to eat?

Once my geckos start breeding and the eggs hatch I was wondering is it ok to feed them small silk worms. I’ve heard their better than crickets is this true?

One thing that i want to make you aware of is that, Babies geckos do not eat after they are born, it takes sometimes from 2 days to 1 week before they start to eat because they are still using their yolk sac.Although it is still a good idea to try and feed them just in case, beware even insects can eat them at this vulnerable state, so try and not leave food in the tank.

Small silk worms are fine, just remember the length of the prey should be the same as the distance between both of the Geckos Eyes, which is very small at that age.

I have heard that too, they generally have a higher protein ratio compared to Crickets, but that is useless if the food is not gut loaded, meaning you feed the silk worms very good foods before feeding it to the geckos.

Good Luck
