 Possible Inbreeding

I just rescued two leopard geckos. Their is a dad and a daughter. The girl just laid two eggs and I want to know how high the chance of complications from inbreeding their is. I have separated them, but I want to know if the eggs will make it and be healthy.

 Possible Inbreeding

It is actually considered line breeding and is quite common. I don’t recommend it but it happens. If the eggs are fertile, they can hatch and the babies may or may not have genetic defects. Line breeding can bring out the defects that are not apparent in either parent. The female can lay several more clutches of eggs without ever being put back in with the male.
