 Cost efective food

What is the best food for garters? The best kind to breed/buy and the healthiest for the snake. I have heard so many different answers so I decided to ask the people on this board.

the best is rosy red minnows with the accasional appropriate sized leopard frog (i say leapard frog cause they are easy to buy as tadpoles.)

and with some of my pregnant garters I have used a all transforming tadpole diet. But I do not recommend this because of the fat content

petco, petsmart... any local petstore.
Actually... you can get them from any wallmart as well
