 Poison dart frogs

Hello all,

I’ve been wanting to get a poison dart frog, not recently but over the past few years. Now that I have the money I feel that I can afford to get 1 or 2. :)

I’ve looked up some guides, but my actual question is,

Which poison dart frogs are good for beginners? I’ve read that dendrobates are.

But what do you guys think and where did you guys start?

Also any help or tips from your personal experiences will help out.

I would go with dendrobates leucomelas they are very hardy species and do quite well, also d.auratus is a good beginner frog. Also d.tinctorius or d.azureus too these 2 are bigger and some will even eat crickets but the first 2 will only eat fruitflies...Imo the hardest thing about darts is the fruit flies:)
