Hiding White’s tree frog?? I can’t find my new whites tree frog. Hes a small baby and in his tank i dont see him anywhere. I know they are escape artists but i cant believe he was strong enough to lift up the lid, considering i put several big rocks on top. Do they bury themselves in the dirt? I have a loose substrate but i dont see anywhere he could be. Did he get out somehow??

Hiding White’s tree frog?? Don’t freak out. Just take all the decorations out of the tank one at a time and look VERY closely at them to make sure that the little guy isn’t on them. Then check every inch or dirt because, yes, they can bury themselves in the dirt, usually when the humidity isn’t high enough for them. Take your time and tear the whole thing down piece by piece. If he definitely isn’t in the cage, then, yeah, he must have escaped some how. I’m sure if you had heavy rocks on the lid, he’s probably still in there somewhere. Hope you find him.

Hiding White’s tree frog?? Thats exactly what i did, and he was no where to be found. I have no clue to how he got out, the lid was STILL secure, 4 rocks holding down the lid must not have been enough i guess? Ive been looking in the room but its like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. He was a very young white’s, he could sit on my thumb, thats how small he was.
