What happened to my leopard frog’s eye? 
My Leopard frog, Popeye, eye disappeared... it was not swallen and looked normal size (except for the coloring obviously) yesterday... but today I was cleaning his water and looked at him and his eye was just gone... all is left is his eyelid... is that sopposed to happen?

That’s weird! Are there any other animals in the tank with him? I would think it would be a sign of disease but I’m not sure.

did you know popeye is a diseas fish get? I would try observing the tank for anything that might have caused his eye to pop out. and if you do find a good vet close to you I would take him there.

well actually his eye didnt just pop out... I have posted about him before... His eye was injured as me and my bro were catching frogs in the wild...(he is not full grown he is pretty small) he squeezed his head out of my hand as I was showing my bro and my sis and his eye somehow got harmed... I went out and bought a 10 gallon tank and made a little pond... his eye’s swelling went down and and the size went back to normal... but it disappeared the other day... and that is why his name is popeye (my bro and sis named him after the cartoon character)
also I fed him crickets today and as soon as they hit the ground he lunged at them and caught one imediatly... It was cool considering he is one eyed...

after looking at him I think his body got rid of his eye... his eye had been getting smaller till it was gone ... that might be how nature deals with it...
