 Little PacMan

So i ended up with a tiny little pacman frog a friend didn’t want (hes also sending me his other one). iv never had much luck with frogs in the past so im kinda worried about having these little guys.

I was told long ago it was the water that killed my frogs when i was younger. What kinda water do you guys use? i used tap water before. with this little guy im using bottled water.

also any other tips would be gratefully appericiated.

tap water as you know from turtles is a BIG nono
But its way more leathull to amphibians than to them.

They should have a larger enclosure so they dont eat or kill eachother they are VERY terratorial and have bad tempers.
(they are best housed separate.
Deep substrate is required for burrowing, swimming area (not to deep, horrible swimmers)
And many different hides.
UV strip light
Undertank heater recommended.Heat lamp help keep humidity.
!!NO GRAVEL!! If you use gravel you have a high chance of a dead frog. Use moss and/or beda beast. Something to burrow in.
Should stay about 70-82 degrees no higher.Humidity should stay above 70%.

Crickets, Earthworms, Silkworms, Feeder fish, Mealworms, Waxworms, Pinky mice or fuzzies. When older upgrade to adult mice or small rats.Calcium dust insects 3 times a week.(Feed young pacmans 4 crickets a day and adults 3 crickets a day. you can feed fish, pinkies, and mice to pacmans for calcium but dont have to. can feed earthworms for some vitamins. cut off heads of meal worms since the can eat there way out of pacmans. can also feed small lizards and frogs to pacmans but thats not necessary.)

Water should be replaced every day (or have filtrated water area)

Clean tank every month or when needed
Be careful at feeding time pacmans bite. Some even generate teeth(wow, they are fiesty!!!!)
Good Luck!!!

that’s so sad, pacman frogs can eat alot though, in the wild they eat frogs almost their size.

i dont know how he could of drowned. the water was VERY shallow.

i have experience with other things other then cats and dogs. have many turtles, torts, snakes, and furry pets. iv just never got the hang of frogs.

i do plan on getting another frog but i feel i must research more this time. maybe even get one that’s not so small and delicate.
