 Egg laying problem.

My frilled is trying to lay eggs for the third time this year. I’ve never bred her, so it seems odd that she’s laying so many eggs.
She was digging and digging like before, then quit eating like before, but that’s it. She lays in the bottom or her tank with her hind legs crossed behind her tail for long periods of time before returning to her branches for heat.
It feels like there are eggs in her belly. How can I help her get these out?
Also, is there any way to inhibit her laying more eggs?

 Egg laying problem.

x-rays dont help see the eggs in frilled dragons sometimes, sometimes it does show up other times it does not. they are not like bearded dragons. their eggs are located right under the spine and above all the internal organs. they are hard to feel because they are so far up, and so very soft while in the belly. keep her hydrated, and keep her warm. keep stress minimal and try to provide her a nice lay spot/lay box.
not sure what else to tell you, i have not had this issue.

your frilled dragon COULD be just slowing down because of winter. they usually eat less and act funny around this time of year.

 Egg laying problem.

I see a lot of talk online about a nest box with proper substrate, but I can’t find any info on what that entails with a frilled lizard. Any ideas?

 Egg laying problem.

i use peat moss and or coco husk. what ever you can easily get. it hasto be mostly moist but not WET and it hasto be kinda warm like 80 or so degrees. hasto be about 6-12 inches deep.

check out nest boxes for water dragons. that should give you a good idea. next boxes for water dragons and or basilisks.

i researched basilisks and found good information on nest boxes
