also i recomend lining the interior with a shee of cork bark you can get for 15$ at a hoby store. its a 16x3, 1/8 inch sheet and will hold humidity WELL!!!! humidity should be 80 for the most part of the day. 65 is fine but usualy mine is 30 when i wake up in the morning, then i mist and it says 80. :) hope this helps, a warm humidid cage m akes for a healthy frill, expecialy when there young |

I got the mercury vapor bulb and made some nice basking spots and thought this little guy would love it but I have yet to even see him go under it. he seems to prefer the spot under the small light as in the picture. i guess as long as he is warm enough and seems happy its his choice. |

Funny thing after I wrote that post yesterday about my FD never going under the mvb bulb? I figured he had a week to settle in so when I got home I gave him a little soak in the tub and added a few vines to the cage. When I put him back he was like a different lizard. Went right under the mvb and was basking and gaping, then was exploring. I cant think the vines excited him that much so I am thinking maybe he was a little dehydrated and the soak gave him some vigor. J |
