I won’t reveal the location, but on a swampy bike path with a bunch of people we found state-threatened ribbon snakes, caught 1 garter and 6 water snakes as well as a sayder butterfly. I still haven’t been bitten. (DARN IT, CAN’T I JUST BE BITTEN ALREADY!?)

Hehe, being bitten is like a right of passage. I can’t even begin to count the number lizards, snakes, and creepy crawlies I’ve been bitten by over the years. Its always half the fun is seeing what will bite you and what won’t. The worst for me so far has been Red-sided garter snakes, and collard lizards. Collard lizards can put a hurting on you, let me tell you. They don’t like to let go, lol.
