Get a leopard gecko they only need a 10 gallon tank and are probably the most basic lizard to keep.

I read all the threads involving Lizard lover girls and reptileGOD and you guys still have a ton to learn on the care of lizards. I would suggest to let your wild caught lizards go and start from scratch and buy a leopard gecko. Captive bred animals are much healthier than wild caught. Leopard geckos don’t even need a fluorescent tube like fence lizards do. All you need is a 10 gallon tank, 3 hides, a waterbowl, paper towel substrate and you’re good to go. Please actually listen to Kelso he has had much more experience with the care of reptiles. I’m sure he would appreciate it if you actually listened to his advice.

You can get a steppe runner for $30 but the setup will be about $100 if you do it right. The most important part of keeping them is the fluorescent tube UVB lighting. Be prepared to pay more than $50 just for the fluorescent light not considering the basking temperature. I have never owned one of these lizards but you can look up a few care guides for them because they have much more info than I know of. These lizards also seem to tolerate handling well if that’s what you’re looking for.
