Western Fence lizard- mealworm Good luck trying to feed a fence lizard dead prey. Try live prey!

Western Fence lizard- mealworm Most don’t eat anything that doesn’t move, their interest is attracted to the insect by it’s movements. Without the movement they won’t eat, especially a new captured stressed out lizard... Though it isn’t always the case, I haven’t tried recently but Ginny has eaten dead crickets off of a rock in her cage & even right out of my hand.

Western Fence lizard- mealworm So, does that mean I can feed dead crickets? I am also really stressed because the WFL is not eating, so I don’t know what to really feed it and when or why it won’t eat. It’s been 3 days since I caught him.

Western Fence lizard- mealworm I change the question a little- since my newly caught wfl is not eating yet, i want to know what i can feed him/her, IN PLACE OF CRICKETS. lemme tell you why- I would like to feed it pinhead crickets, but where can i buy them besides online for cheap to try it out (such as a pack of 50). I want something to feed it until it starts to eat, then it will be less stressed, and i KNOW it will eat the pinhead crickets then, so i dont waste so much money and it eventually dies...

Western Fence lizard- mealworm Live pinhead crickets shipped to your mailbox. Flukers farms(goolge). They sell cans of 50 for six bucks I think and that also includes the cost for shipping. Order them now!
Pin head crickets can last six-eight weeks if you feed them and give them water. They will grow full size within the time frame though..

Western Fence lizard- mealworm You should go ahead and get the pinheads online, its very cheap as online goes. There isn’t much to replace pinhead crickets with, if they are starving babies they will sometimes eat apple slices.
