 Eating Problems

Winky is not eating any crickets these days! What should I do?

PS If I crush some banana and put in on my finger, will he lick it like an anole?

Stressed? I tried to feed my lizards in a separate enclosure today, they wouldn’t eat. So I put them back in the tank and dropped some crickets. All crickets were eaten within minutes. Weird, but true.

I used to feed my lizards in a different tank all the time because I was worried of compaction, but since I treated them with mites and they lived on paper towels for a couple weeks I was just feeding them in that tank. Maybe they got used to just eating in the tank. Which is fine, but GRRR

I feed mine in the tank, I’ve freaked out a couple times because I’ve seen Ginny pick up a piece of bark, but guess what, she can feel it in her mouth. When she does pick up a piece, she’ll scrape the cricket against the ground, the rocks, and the log to knock the substrate from her mouth before swallowing the cricket.

My lizards do the same thing!

But I’m just worried and paranoid that they might not do it once, and then it’ll all be over. I mean, what exactly do you do for a seriously compacted lizard? Vet; surgery? Yowzerzz
