i wouldnt recommend that simply because crossing species can cause stress in the lizards which could cause a shorter lifespan but if you do do this anyways then i would get a 30 or 40 gallon tank.

Generally i would advise against it. Anoles like to pile on top of each other, and if the anole does this to your swift, the swift might severely injure it. Especially if the male is very territorial and claims the female as a mate.

If the anole touches the female, and the male decides to attempt courting, it may kill the anole.

For swifts, vertical space is far more important than the bottom width. Get a vertical reptile cage.

Here is an example: http://static.squidoo.com/resize/squidoo_images/-1/draft_lens1482850module3372441photo_6_x_4_x_4_reptile_cage.jpg

tallness is the key to them acting natural, and feeling most comfy. In the wild, they prefer high spots to perch on, hence their name.

While they do fine in a normal tank, this way is much more entertaining, and encourages the lizards to act natural. to make the particle board look natural, do the following:

Get some aquarium-safe epoxy (its like glue) , and some sand. (or potting soil) (or both)

You want epoxy you can brush on so you can cover large areas without the epoxy drying too quickly.

Go outside when you do this, it will make a mess. Cover the board with epoxy quickly, and throw a bunch of sand all over the parts that are coated. The particle board will need a base, so your lizards dont get smashed.

I found an old book makes an excellent base. Use the same epoxy to glue the board to the old book. Now let it cure outside for 24 hours. Now you have an attractive wall for your lizards to climb naturally! A big piece of wood works too, but lets be practical here :P Put the board in first, then cover the base with your substrate. Potting soil, and coconut fiber makes an excellent substrate. The tank will need to have enough room for the watering dish, and any hiding spots on the ground.

6x4x4 is an excellent size for this method. (thats six feet tall, four feet wide, and four square feet of floor space)
