 Alittle help here please

im not new to the reptile world but well i have a hatchling hes 2 inches long head and tail. i caught him here in tenn . well resuced him from the kittens i need to know what he can eat at this size and being as he in a colder area then where i moved from does he hibernate he is a northern fenced lizard. he s in a 10 gal with uvb lighting i am useing dirt from the yard no worry of cheimcal .. and since he from the wild i firgured it would nt hurt him he has drift wood branches and a few slate rocks and some grass . i set it up like a mini outdoor . i caught a few bugs today for him well i think they were really small grubs ..he ate them ,,, so any help would be great ....

well the cage size is definitely big enough but im not to sure if the setup in the cage is to good for the simple fact that there is a risk of parasites because the rocks and grass were just from your yard plus there could be a risk of insecticides and other chemicals that could get to the lizard but if it is just a temporary thing then its probably fine but i would suggest using either potting soil or sand found at any local pet store and other then that your all set.
