 Tiny westerb fence lizard

Hi. About 3-4 weeks ago I found a tiny lizard at Home Depot, by the indoor plants. I asked to catch him. At first I thought he was an anole, but now I’m thinking he’s a Western Fence Lizard due to his unique markings. He is almost 3/4 inches from nose to base of tail. Add another inch or so for the tail.

I’m feeding him knats, tiny red ants and flightless fruit flies. I’ve seen him eat, he’s shed his skin once so far & there are plenty of droppings in his small cage (2.5 gallon tank).

I spray his tank with distilled water 2X a day and have a small dish in there too. I have a full spectrum light on the tank during the day and turn it off at night.

My questions.... How old before I would see some blue on him? Am I doing the right things? Is there something I should be doing to help ensure his survival and get him to thrive?

Not sure if too many people have these types of lizards in Wisconsin.

Thanks!!
Lynn M
