Home made drown free water source???

I was thinking, now wondering? Can knoxgeliton be made up and used as a drown free water source for baby roaches, crickets, super worms? if so, can supplements be added to it? trying to expand to very large colonies of feeder insects and want to do it cheep but right. Just wondering and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use Polymer Water Crystals as a water/humidity source in my insect colonies. Just have to rehydrate them a few times a week, and usually discard after about a month(important not to have any climbing cartons over water source or insect droppings WILL contaminate the water source ). I did try making a "supplement concoction" with "pedialyte" though had to discard crystals after only a week for it when sour. Most supplementing will shorten the crystals use period. FLUKER’S Cricket Quencher is available at most pet stores and they cell a calcium fortified product too.
