Yeah. Zoe already weighs 76 lbs and stands 24 inches at the shoulder at 10 months. I go through her puppy pictures and look at the stages of her growth and I just cannot believe how big she has gotten. I am taking her down to see her breeder on spring break. I can’t wait to compare her to her mom, her mom wasa big female. He dad was even bigger. I know Zoe probably won’t ever reach her moms size, but she will get pretty close. Her dad was imported her from Germany. He has a really blocky head and stands pretty close to 30 inches at the shoulder. He is a big boy.

Christ the dad sounds like a bueat!!
Its good that you have kept in touch with her breeder i have done that with Milla’s breeder and send regular photo’s. I have no idea on what Milla weight’s atm she is still short but long legged and slender but her head hasn’t grown out the way yet so looks rather out of proportion for a dog that is 9 months XD

Zoe is filling in quite well. Then again that could be because of her spay. She isn’t overweight in the least bit. He weight matches her height and muscle tone. She is mellowing out more and more as she gets older and has lessened on a few of her bad habits, still working on the mouthing, so if anyone can give any advise on that issue it would be appreciated. I’m tired of people saying she is trying to bite them because she is mouthing them.

The neutering will of helped out a load. All i can say for mouthing is just keep being firm and consistent on telling her off about it, sooner you catch her at each time the quicker she will learn its a no no. has she always been allowed/gotten away with mouthing? or has it just started up or she’s just never got the message?

Because I took Zoe in so early she didn’t learn from her siblings that mouthing was bad. Zoe was much worse about it as a puppy and has gotten much better about it. It only happens when whe gets really excited, I correct her and say No and she stops most of the time, I just want it completly stop. If she only did it to me it wouldn’t matter but she does it to other people and the get all pissy and say she is trying to bite them when she is only really happy.

Most Mastiff type’s like Bulls do mouth sadly people don’t see this as a breeds OTT happy trait and misinterpret it as a bad thing, don’t get me wrong i’m not promoting mouthing at all it’s just one of those sh*tty things really.

just gotta nip it in the bud really, unless you just turn it into a command so therefore if you say "Zoe mouth" she mouths as if you don’t mind her mouthing you but don’t want it being done to someone else kinda mixed signals you know?

I’ve been giving her her rope bone when she tries mouthing, so that maybe she will associate the bone with the mouthing.

That should do fine either her rope or another toy just show her that mouthing hands is a no but go for your toys.

Her rope bone is about the only toy she’ll play with lol, so i don’t have much of a choice as far as that goes.
