 Night Heat Lamp for Iguana?

I’m preparing for an iguana but I don’t know if a night heat fixture is necessary or not because a friend of mine said it’s not needed for tropical reptiles. But I wasn’t sure how true that was.
So are they a necessity?
If so, does the color matter? Red? Blue? Black?

Thank you so much! <3

Forget the light and get a CHE. This is a Ceramic Heating Element. It puts out heat and no light, but screws in like a lightbulb. Iguanas can see all spectrums of visible light and any light will disrupt their sleep cycle.
