 New to breeding crickets

I am trying to breed my crickets. I had them from pinheadss and now they are huge and started chirping. . I transferred them to a fish aquarium. I put in a container of dirt, egg cartons and food. Once I did this they all started chirping and everyday I see them in the egg laying box. Its been 1 week so i took out the box. I couldn’t tell if there were eggs in it. Can u see them? So now I got 2 containers and put a screen over the dirt. Will they know to lay eggs in it? I also put vermiculate on the bottom of the cage. Will the crickets try to lay eggs in this? How long do I leave the egg laying container in the box? If I just leave the egg laying containers in there with no screen will the males eat all the eggs or will there be some left?
