Well, you can tell when the crickets are full grown. The female will have an extra "spike" on her butt, while males only hve 2:) I’ve never seen it before, but that’s what I’ve read about it:)

male crickets are smaller then the females. the males are also the one that make all the noise. they make noise by wiggling their wings and rubbing them together. on the females you will see a long black appendage poking from its rear. this is an ovipositor. It is what they use to lay their eggs
