is it ok to breed them and raise them all in one cage? it is a 10 or 20 gallon cage i have clean poting soil egg cartens and i have been feeding them crushed dog food

if i should change any of this please tell me, thanks

It would be best to take out the potting soil about every week and put it and the eggs in something warm, as well as keeping the potting soil pretty moist. This will keep the male crickets from eating the eggs. Plus I think it’s less of a hassle taking out the babies and put them say in a small rubbermaid tub and let them hatch, then feed them and let them get big, say bigger then a pin head, and put them In with the adults.

I’ve raised and bred crickets a while back when I had many reptiles to feed but I haven’t In a while. Most of it Is trial and error and see what works best for you.
