 Active Snake - Breeding Season?

I have had my motley corn for two years now (obtained 4/1/2013 at 12 grams) and recently it has been incredibly active.

For the past week or so it has been crawling over everything multiple times a day (which is unusual, usually it just crawls around a little at night or right before feeding). It has also hasn’t been eating as well, takes hours when it used to take about 30 min and doesn’t eat as much. My corn has dropped 5 grams in two weeks (so not worried).

My question is, is my corn active because of the breeding season? Nothing has changed in its environment.

Just wanted to put this in, no plans on breeding it (Akuma remains unsexed) just wanted to know if I should expect this every year.

Yes every year the males will roam endlessly looking for a mate and often not eat at all...The mating hunger strike is common with corns and can last up to 2 months. sounds like normal to me.

Welcome to the world of corn snakes...lol
