 A few breeding questions

I started introducing my first corns recently and I have a few questions
1. How do you guys go about introducing your snakes? Do you leave them overnight or do you just put them together until they separate? I haven’t really left them for a long period together because I was worried about something happening, but I know that’s more of a king/milk issue.
2. How long should I expect it to take until she lays? I know there are a lot of variables there
3. How long has your incubation taken? I’ve heard different things and I’m just not sure
Any other info would be great! Thanks!

 A few breeding questions

I just throw mine together. and watch...if there going to breed you will know within 5 min of introducing them. they will start twitching (dancing) He will try and ride on her back and lock tails. MAKE SURE YOUR FEMALE IS 300+ i always recommend more. but that is what everyone els says I wait till 350-400.

Your female should lay 55 days after locking. she will shed as a prelay shed- they she will lay eggs a few days after that. I keep my eggs at 83 degrees (F) and they hatch 60-80 days.

Thanks! The male in that pair is shedding, so he really didn’t seem in the mood last time. The other snakes I didn’t brumate just don’t seem to have any desire to mate, but oh well

I honestly dont worry about burming them....I did not do mine and she just layer 25 eggs......And she is about to lay more..as long as there 300+ then your ok to breed them. But you are right about shed some snakes will NOT breed during shed.

He shed and I put them together again today. The female had her tale up and she was all over the male, but it took him a while to get going. I really don’t even know if they did anything or not lol

 A few breeding questions

So why do you say close to 60 days to lay ??? When it is more like 30....

Yes hatch outs can be 55 dfays and wow 75 ...depends on the species and the temps.

But your info was in error ...plain and simple

temps where all normal. It was my first clutch and yes it was way past 55 days to hatch. Even laying can take longer.

OH well, I have just never seen a snake take that long to lay, at least not yet.
