For the last few times I’ve "re-used" a UTH, I’ve used regular old Duct ("Duck") Tape. It tends to not fall off or lose its adhesive-ness over time. Haven’t used "Gorilla" tape, yet, but would probably go with that over electrical tape. Hope this helps! Fred |

Yeah, so do I... but remember that the UTH has to be in direct contact with the glass... so make sure that it is tight up against the glass while taping it on. Otherwise, over time (esp. with electrical tape), you’ll get a pocket of air separating the UTH from the glass... and the heat transfer won’t be as effective. I only mention this because it has happened to me! LOL. |
