 How big so they get?

iv never seen a collard lizard before and my sis wanted to know what kind of full grown lizard can stay in a 20 gallon tank! cause there really neat, so i was just woundering how big they get?

and if anyone knows of any kind of lizard that would be good for a 20 gall. just let me know! thanks!

20 gal is ok for a collards ///but an adult colllard needs a big cage like 40 gal /anyway they get to be about 16 inches and they make really good pets!start looking them up theres info out there!CHIP

They grow to about 14 inches in length, two thirds of that is tail, and they are very lively so a 40 gallon tank for two is okay, with lots of jumping stones or branches..

Well they might be the size of mice but they are fearless, I never got bit though.

The WC ones can draw blood if they’re really mad. My CB ones aren’t so bad. I’ve been bitten accidentally while hand-feeding, and I’ve been bitten twice by the dominant female for annoying her (one time for reaching into the hide cave, one time for stopping her from stealing a bug from another lizard,) but the light nips are nothing. If they really want to they can grab on and rip into you, but they have to want to; it takes some effort. Mine were already tame when I got them anyway. Pancho and Chica have never threatened me at all, and Lupe will lightly, briefly clamp on to communicate displeasure, but isn’t really out to do damage.
I’d say their heads and bodies are definitely bigger than most mice, but smaller than most gerbils.
