 Could it be shedding??

hello,I have had my male vield for 1 week now, so i must say i am new to this. Today i realized that he has some black spots on one side. I don’t have pics yet. But do you guys think he might be shedding?

False alert!!!!! When i got home from work there was nothing there to be seen. I was probably just imagining things.
From what i have read it had nothing to do with shedding. What i read says it was tics. I am happy that its not the case.
What i would like to know is what could cause this anyways, and if ever it happens how can i cure this?
