 Infections in young veiled chameleon

I was very recently given a young veiled chameleon, and I have a question about a possible respiratory infection. But I’m not sure if that is actually the problem.
Occasionally he opens his mouth like a long yawn, havnt seen him do it while basking, it’s usually when he is being handled. Just wondering if need to watch for a respiratory issue or if they do that when annoyed a bit. He weezed a bit once. No back arching or anything like that.
He also has an eye infection, which is being treated. There are no local vets that accept reptiles where I am.
