 Keeping Chams outside

I know this is a silly question, seeing as probably quite a few people keep chameleons outside, but does anyone have any tips on keeping a veiled outside during the summer? How to design the enclosure, etc. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

 Keeping Chams outside

Be sure your cham is in a secure screened enclosure and has good access to shade. They can definitely overheat during the hottest hours of a summer day if fully exposed to the summer sun.

Make certain predators (dogs/cats/raccoons/etc) can’t knock over a cage. Ants can also be a problem, invading cages to scavenge and get water.

Where I live there are many natural predators and outdoor ants are voracious so I only leave my chams outside for a short period of time during the day and only when I can keep an eye on them.
