Actually, my chams don’t seem to mind nice warm water. I think the temperature of the water is the key. They HATE cold water, and they do get wet when the auto misters go off, but since they don’t move away from the warm water, I don’t think it harms or stresses them. Julirs ... my older Quad was WC when I got him, you can see the scar of what looks to me like a cham bite right on his little leg and he had some other battle scars as well, poor guy. What I find interesting is the difference in their colorations. Quadzimoto (my old guy) has always had a good amount of maroon and yellow on his head & horns and a deep green body, with less blue. The new guy (CB) has no maroon or yellow at all, a good amount of blue and so far, a much lighter green body. I don’t really know the difference in their ages, as Quadzi was also already adult when I got him. Gotta love this face, though :)

And no, I don’t purposely spray my chams. They do get misted when my auto misters go off, but the water from the reservoir is warm, not cold, so it doesn’t seem to bother them. |
