 Mouth infection or a sore?

I noticed today that my jackson’s lower right lip is protruding from his mouth, i dont know if this is an infection or if it is normal, but it seems off. I am trying to gather information about this, to see whether or not he needs medical attention.

I have some pictures, hopefully they will help identify any problem if there is one.

For some reason, Jackson’s seem to be more prone to temporal gland infections than other chams, so he very well could be suffering from that. As stated, a vet visit is in order ASAP.

I plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow, is this fatal/any idea what causes this kind of infection?

make sure to keep a good watch on it most of the times it comes back and it has to be amputated so try geting another couple doses of medicine for him just to bump his imune system up and keep that infection at bay and heal it 100% completely iv always found that a second dose of medicines always helps the cham through there sickness

Bad diagnosis.
"Mouth rot" is a secondary affliction. There is something more fundamentally wrong with your cham. Most cases of mouth rot is due to faulty husbandry, so, please give the EXACT specs of your setup.
