 Giant centipede?

I read somewhere {I canít remember where, it was a long time ago!} that people put centipedes in with thier lizards to clean the tank. It doesnít seem safe to me, because of the different requirments, but I wanted to verify.

Millipedes. Not centipedes. Isopods (aka woodlice, sowbugs, pillbugs, rolly-pollies, potato bugs, etc) are another popular choice for that purpose. Thereís problems, though. It only works in lush, well-planted terraria, but the millipedes will also eat many plant types, killing the terrarium flora. And it makes the cage LOOK cleaner, and actually does get rid of a lot of stuff, but there are a lot of other things like nematodes and pinworms that can build up to pretty serious levels in a setup that youíre counting on a few bugs to keep clean. Truth is, they donít really do anything that uneaten feeder crickets donít.
