 Carpet python sick

I got a 5 foot jungle carpet python and It seems to be that he has a sinus infection. When he breaths it’s sounds like a little whistle. I was jut wondering how I could treat this and what causes this. Please help thanks alot

It you can hear him breathe, it’s likely that he has a respiratory infection. Although I personally have never treated a snake with an RI, I’ve heard that should keep his enclosure pretty warm, like 90 degrees maybe, and try to eliminate anything that could cause him stress. RIs are caused by regular household bacteria that infect the snake. They are common in snakes that have a supressed immune system, which can be due to dehydration, stress, or temperatures that are too cool. I’d try that, and if it doesn’t go away, I’d take him to the vet. Hope this helps.
