First time builder wanting to build a bearded dragon eclosure!

Hi everyone! I am just getting into the world of reptiles and I am very fascinated by the bearded dragon. I have not gotten one yet, I want to make sure everything is ready and perfect. I have decided I want to build the enclosure. Ive seen that melamine is a common material to build from but I was wondering if there was anything a little lighter but I dont want to loose the aesthetic appeal that it can have. I am not rich so money is a factor. Any tips and help is greatly appreciated.

It would probebly be cheaper to buy tank. plexiglass itself is really expensive. just something to think about. if you are near a pet-co they should be having a 1$ per gallon sale. just pic up a 40 breeder or a 55. or you could just take an old book case and take out shelves and flip it on its side.
