 How big do pacific gopher snakes get?

So I just bought this pair http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/member.php?u=8534

I was told that they were 07’s and he estimated the female to be 5’6" and the male to be 4’6". I just got them today and I can say with certainty that the female is 4’2". I have 4’x2’x2’ critter condos for them both and when she went flat against the 4’ display window only the very tip of her tail didn’t fit. The male is too flighty to check, but he appears to be a good foot shorter.

Is this normal? Were they just not fed enough?
If they really are 07’s then does that mean they won’t grow anymore? I don’t mean to whine, but I was expecting them to be larger. ^^;

Currently I’m on the plan of one small rat every seven days, but should I up that to every 5 days now. Should I do that later in the summer? I plan on breeding them /next year/ I just want to take the rest of this year to get used to my first pits~

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND ADVICE GUYS!

Really depends on a lot, but I have read of an 8’ one. Could be a myth. I would guess around 5.5-6’
