 Inclusion body disease

My boa has been of feeding for a while now began to shows intrest but threw it back up and has been off shedding. I made a appointment with the vet and kept him over night and now their saying theirs a chance it could be inclusion body disease...how could I go about this? Can you euthanize (spelled it wrong :/) a snake I’m talking about the vet doing it and is it better for him? Its hard to lose him but it would be even harder to watch him suffer :’(...also how could he got this so late is it a illness snakes get?
