 Yeah need help on new cage

yea so i am getting a Colombian red tailed that is about 18 inches and i am gonna design the cage and i hear all this stuff about a "uth" and all this other smarty pants and I’m just wondering what all that stuff is and what all i need(in the means of technology smarty pants) so yeah some help would be appreciated........Chris

Ok here are some comonly use abrieviations.
UTH= under tank heater
CHE=ceramic heat emitter
well thats all that comes to mind.When you say designing do you mean building or what.

Any type of silk or plastic plants are ok. Just make sure there are no loops for it to get stuck in if you buy from a craft store, a post on the bp forum had a bp that got stuck in one of those loops. Cork bark makes good hides, it’s light so if it falls if wont hurt your snake. Free space, well a baby rtb will probably want to hide most of the time, but open space is good so at night he can come out and explore. Make sure to have a few hides, water bowl dig enough for him to get into.
