 Red tail boa growth stunt

Hi guys,

I got my red tail boa a few months back, and as of right now, she’s about 4 feet long. I don’t know how old she is, but I was told that she has a growth stunt. I adopted her from the biology department at my university. My professor told me that someone took her from a home where she was not being fed at all, and even being abused. (Who on earth would abuse a snake??) and left her with the school. So since I’ve had her, I’ve been doing my best to get her back on a normal feeding schedule, and I now have her in a 55 gallon tank. Is there any possible way to at least reduce her growth stunt? I would love it if she were able to grow the way she is supposed to. If she can’t, then I will of course, make her as happy as possible. Any help on this would be great! Thanks!

I think there should be medications for the snake.
