I traded a lady my leopard gecko for him :) He has pink blushing on its face and all down its body. I was just wondering if he is a normal red tail or is he/she some other kind.im new to the red tails but I fell in love with him when I saw him. The photo deffinatly doesn’t show him justice to his beautiful color though...

Many breeders try to increase the salmon coloration and they do have SUPER SALMONS as well. The less freckling the better ...a very clean salmon is desirable. And your snake is just beautiful as well. All boas are amazing in my humble opinion. They are some of the sweetest breeds out there...the BCI is an awesome snake and can get quite large and heavy bodied. Very best wishes to you and her.

The Salmon "trait" is not indicated by the presence of pink, as many boas display pink. Salmons are selectively bred line Hypos that have genetics that can be traced back to Rich Ihle stock. A Super Salmon is a Super Hypo from a selectively bred line.

#2275480 Fairy Frog Mother View Profile	Message To: Cphill58   In reference to Message Id: 2274401  What kind of red tail is he/she Really nice trade, and a good one too if the previous owner was not experienced with large snakes or had too many- the cost of feeding a leo is MUCH cheaper *Chuckles* Good bit of luck there on your part too. I adore my boas. That does indeed appear to me to be a normal morph. Unless you know its lineage it would be impossible to tell if it carrys a recessive gene for any other morph- but I dont think anyone would trade a leo for a boa if it had possible albino, anery or hypo, morph genes. Doesnt really matter though. Its a lovely looking snake.
