 Filling Voids

I’ve got this tree that I am going to put in the encloser I am building, but I need to seel it and fill the voids where it twists and where knots broke off. They need filled so that it is easy to clean and it won’t collect junk back in those "impossible to get" places. Here are some pictures of the tree and where it needs filled:



I was thinking an epoxy or cement, or maybe just some type of wood putty. What do you think?

Wood putty should work just fine, or one of those new epoxys used for filling in gaps where wood rot has occured. Just give it time to cure thoroughly and outgas if you use the Epoxy ( you probably figured that already though)

Just put the thing in there and be done with it,there is no need to treat,bleach seal or bake any cage furniture.
Just use common sense,if it is crawling with ants or bugs pass and find another one,otherwise just use it.
