 Young Red Tail

I have about a 5 month old red tail, i use reptile bark for bedding, it has a hide rock and a log to completly hide itself, and a small but heavy stick for it to climb around on, and a big enough water bowl. The humidity stays between 50%-60% and temps under the light are just under 90 during the day, and drop off to 80 or so at night. The snake started off last month sweet, but always acted defensive. Now she wont let me get her out of the cage, she spends alot of her time now roaming the cage, usually shooting up the sides for the top. When she hears(feels) the top opening she goes into an aggressive mode. Its like the snake is constantly hunting. It eats a fuzzy every 7-10 days. How should i go about calming it down? im used to my ball python being so sweet to me i dont want an angry boa...
Any advise would be awesome thank you!!

A lot of snakes get aggressive with cages that open from the top because they think it’s a predator. But sounds like she’s a young boa. They can be a little nippy. I’d invest in a snakehook if I were you.
