Hmmm... Just asking your opinions on this. My girl doesn’t seem to be growing as fast as she has been, and is still getting one large mouse every 5 days. Especially because she has been growing like a weed before, I don’t want to underfeed her, but I don’t want to overfeed her, either. So, opinion time.... Do you think I should start feeding her 2 small adult mice a week instead of one large-ish (but not jumbo) rat every 5 days?

(p.s. she is "taller" than she is "wide" as far as belly shape goes. She is "taller" than the thickest part of a lighter, if that makes any sense! lol!

Hmmm... BRBs tend to go on very short, quick growth spurts (especially one at that age). Keep feeding her the proper amount (but I don’t have to tell you what that is ;)) and she will spurt, spurt spurt like the wind!

Hmmm... Ok, im gonna suggest for you guys to switch to rats. One big meal is better then multiple small ones. Looking at the size of your snake, it should take a rat pup no problem. Rats will increase the growth rate, trust me. I have almost switched all my animals to rats and only keep one colony of mice left for my tegus. If they dont take rats, try chain feeding them with a mouse followed by a rat. Im sure you will see a growth increase.

Hmmm... Oh just to let you know - problem solved. She is growing like crazy again lol. I have switced to multiple mice, or a small rat a week.
I am going to switch all of my snakes to rats as soon as I can find a private seller/wholesaler around here. I am getting my mice for $15/25 jumbos so for now that’s what I can afford.

Hmmm... Maybe you can start a rat colony? like 15 bucks will get you a male and 2 females. I keep my females in groups of 2 and move my male around weekly. This prevents him from bothering the prego females. If I remember correctly, Rainbows arent your only snakes right? You keep a few more? So I dunno, maybe breeding them might save you a little bit.

Hmmm... Believe me, I have thought all of these things through lol. no, there’d be no way I can start a rat colony, I have 4 elderly rats already that are in the best of conditions but REEK to high heaven and me living in a teeny apartment doesn’t help. (No not looking for advice for rat smells i already know all the tips and nothing works, TRUST ME lol) and even though they are my pets i was thinking about getting rid of them just because my living situation.

Hmmm... Ohh i see your situation now. Are those rats male? Normally females tend not to stink too much. And I guess im a bit used to it since I use to breed hedgehogs but had to sell them all....Hmm maybe you can just freeze some rats and keep them handy?

Hmmm... No, actually. Well, I have 3 females and 1 male and DAAANG the females stink! I used to have 5 female rats before them, and you’d never even knew I had rats, they did not smell at all. So, knowing girls don’t stink as bad, I got more after my 5 died of old age. LOL man was I wrong! My male actually doesn’t smell at all unless you walk right up and put your nose in his cage.
