 Need help with underweight boa

Hi i am new to boa keeping all though i have done my research on housing/temps/care etc, and will be getting my first BCI in about a week or two.He is about 9 years old 5.5ft-6ft but he is underweight as before his current owner got him, he was living with another male where he wasn’t getting fed properly and only weighed about 1.8kg he is now up to 2.3kg but still has alot of loose skin although some of this could be due to being in shed,i was looking for advice and help on how too get him back up to a more healthy weight.
He is currently being fed on medium rats once a week? although he manages a small rat easier.

Can I see a picture? that would help.. I am thinking the medium would be best, put in hot water(to warm it up) and dried off so it has the heat on it. Unless its a good eater and he doesn’t need that.. Lol. It’s kind of hard for me to say without seeing a picture. I’ve only had 1 10 years ago. Lol. Hopefully someone else will come a long to help too.. with more recent care experience. But a pic would help...

Can’t get a pic right now as he doesn’t come to live with me for another week or so,i have seen him and he does have some baggy skin but it is otherwise healthy, his owner thinks he hasn’t eaten recently due to being in shed and in the same room as a female ,i will post pics as soon as i have him
